Cake Break day has finally arrived (wahoo!) and here at MS National Centre we couldn’t wait to host our event. We certainly weren’t lacking on cake and while we’re still counting the pounds, it’s looking like we should have raised over £150!
This is just one of the amazing creations, made by Kate – it’s a cake Oligodendrocytes (myelin making cells) which we were super impressed with!
We were delighted to have some of our amazing supporters attending our Cake Break, and Peter (3 years old) and Christopher (6 years old) were our cake judges (they raised £850 by cycling round the rugby pitch at their local club!), and decided that the winner of ‘best in show’ was Rebecca’s yummy Clementine Cake. Unfortunately all the cake had gone before we could get a photo but congratulations Rebecca!
As well as raising money from cake sales, we also had a ‘name the cake covered celebrity’ quiz, and ‘guess the name of the Cake Break related song’.
BUT enough about our Cake Break, we want to hear about yours! Please do email cakebreak@mssociety.org.uk with any photos, tips or ideas that came about from your Cake Break. Or do share them on the Cake Break Facebook event page to show other cake breakers what you have been up to!
Thank you so much for being part of Cake Break this year – and if you still have your Cake Break to do, good luck!
Happy baking (and eating!)
