Baking has certainly been in the air here at Cake Break HQ and at our office up in Scotland. The teams have been busy trying out yummy recipes from the Cake Break website.
Holly got in some early baking practice this week by attempting the Vegan Upside Down Pineapple Cake recipe to make sure all her Cake Break guests can get stuck into some goodies on the big day. It was delicious. Thanks Holly!
Chocolate Cake Alison (as her friend’s kids call her) is a fundraiser with the MS Society Scotland. She explains:
“I’m baking to beat MS because my mum has been recently diagnosed with primary progressive MS at age 70. We need to find a cure for this condition and find out why it strikes in so many different ways.”
Alison whipped up some spicy chocolate apple muffins. She adapted a recipe from one of her many cook books by adding apples and a spicy pumpkin mix. And it certainly gave them a kick! She also added a chocolate icing topping and crushed Crunchie bar. They went down a storm in the office.
You can find both of these delicious recipes and lots more on our recipes pages, so why don’t you check them out?
We’d love to see your recipes put into practice, so don’t forget to send us photos of your culinary creations and any tried and tested recipes that you’d like to share with other cake breakers, just email: cakebreak@mssociety.org.uk or post them on the Cake Break Facebook event page.
Mmm, feeling peckish now!
